Fancy Yellow

The yellow diamond is the most popular of the fancy diamond family. Its warm, bright color makes it the perfect choice for engagement rings, radiating happiness and energy.
Its hue is due to nitrogen molecules that absorb blue light, reflecting yellow flashes in multiple shades. It is found in mines in Brazil, Angola, South Africa, Australia, and more.
Although considered common within the fancy diamond family, they are more valuable than colorless diamonds: for every 10,000 ct of colorless diamonds, only 1 ct of fancy exists. Their price depends on the intensity of the color, with Vivid Yellow and Dark Yellow being the rarest and most expensive.

Infinite yellows:

Fancy Yellows come in infinite shades. Even within the colorless range, there are gems with slight yellow tinges, but to be considered Fancy, the color must go beyond this range.
Yellow can come in hundreds of combinations and undertones, so two diamonds in the same category can look different. Therefore, grading requires an expert eye.
In this series, the most important "C" is Color. Pure and intense yellow diamonds, known as Canary Diamonds, are rare and highly valuable. Among the most exclusive are the Zimmy Diamonds, mined in Sierra Leone, with unique saturation and extraordinary beauty.
The main categories include: Light Yellow, Fancy Light Yellow, Fancy Yellow, Fancy Intense Yellow, Fancy Dark Yellow, Fancy Deep Yellow, and Fancy Vivid Yellow.

Secondary Colors:

In Fancy diamonds, the color often combines two or more shades: the primary is predominant, and the secondary provides the hue.
In Fancy Yellow diamonds, the most common secondary shades are Brown, Green, and Orange, creating an infinite variety of hues. Their value also depends on this mix: rare combinations, such as orange-yellow, can significantly increase their price.

Incomparably Famous:

The Incomparably Famous Diamond is the largest and most valuable Fancy Yellow in the world. Discovered in 1984 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo by a girl playing near a mine, its discovery is as unique as the gem itself.
It weighed 890 ct rough, making it the fourth largest stone ever found. After cutting, it weighed 407.78 ct, with a Fancy Deep Brownish-Yellow grade, Internally Flawless.
Today, it is the centerpiece of The Incomparable Necklace, the most expensive necklace in the world, valued at $55 million.
